Today was Grace's first day of preschool. She had been so excited all month, talking about it everyday. Most mornings waking up and putting her backpack on and telling me she was ready to go to preschool. But this morning she was actually not happy that she had to go to preschool. She told me she would rather stay home with me. I could tell she was nervous about going by herself, but I just kept talking about how much fun she was going to have, and by the time it was time to leave she was starting to get a little excited.
It took me 15 min. at Target yesterday to convince her she wanted the cupcake backpack instead of a Justin Beiber one....thank you Kirsten! But I did it, and she loved it! She shows it to anyone who will look!
I walked Grace into her class and she wouldn't get go of my shorts. I talked to her teacher for a second and explained the situation, which I'm sure she had dealt with a hundred times, because Ms. Vanessa was awesome. She took Grace's hand and immediately started introducing her to the other girls in her class. After that Grace was sold, and I was able to sneak out.
But guess who was the most upset Grace is going to preschool. Lilly was pretty ticked at me for leaving Grace behind!

that is the saddest face ever. I'm glad Grace was brave. I bet she raises her hand and says, "Princesses!!!"
how dare you separate the two of them! i love lilly. She is the best! And i love grace's backpack. Cupcakes and princesses -- go together like peas and carrots.
I know I said it before but I was missing everyone and was looking at the blog and Lilly's face just made me laugh again. I love you guys.
