Philadelphia

Kirsten abandoned me flew home on Sunday, August 18th.  Since we had to drive her to Philly we decided to make a weekend out if it.

The next couple pictures are of the legislative room in the old Pennsylvania State House.  In this room is were the Declaration of Independence was signed, and the Constitution was written here.

It was really amazing to be in the room.  To picture George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin and so many others sitting in this room, having the guts to commit treason, so that we can have all of the freedoms we have today.

Grace and Lilly had a fun time being twins.  It really does make it easier to keep an eye on them when we are in crowded places.  I think I'll do this more often.

The girls really did love having Kirsten here, they would copy her every move, and have dance parties every day.

In a park right next to Independence Hall.

After we had a Philly cheese steak lunch we went to see the Liberty Bell.  The line was super long, but moved pretty fast.  We knew the girls would never make it though, so Sam played with them while Kirsten and I went through, and then we took the girls and gave Sam a turn.

 The Liberty Bell

If you are wondering why Kirsten is trying to lick the liberty bell it is because we watched "How I Met Your Mother. Season 1 Episode 3" together.  watch it, you won't be disappointed!

Looks like you guys had fun. I love the history of the revelution and the amazing risks those great men took. Can you imagine how brave their wives were to stand beside them. Hope they can be proud of us too.
