Girl's Bathroom

I have had many request to show pictures of our house here in PA.  I have wanted to but I keep thinking of the little projects I still want to get done for each room, so I decided I would pick a room, finish it, and then
blog about them individually.
This week I finished the girls bathroom.  I haven't ever put a lot of effort into a bathroom before, not that I've put a lot of effort into any room before!!  That's why this is a great project for me.
We had the whole interior of our house painted before we moved in, and for the girls bathroom I picked a bright yellow and planned on decorating with rubber ducks.  Well it turned out to be a VERY bright yellow, and it kind of blinded my the first time I walked into it.  So I've been working on calming it down ever since.

In an attempt to calm down the yellow I put my cricut to use and tried to echo the bubble idea on the shower curtain and make a bubble border all along the top of the walls.

here's a close up

I wanted hooks in the girls bathroom instead of a rack, this way they can, in theory, hang up their own towels....although this hasn't actually happened yet!

We have had this book, 10 Little Rubber Ducks, by Eric Carle.  Lilly the book destroyer got her pudgy little hands on it and tore out a few pages.  I was pretty sad about it because I loved the illustrations in the book, until I was looking online for a rubber duck picture to hang in the bathroom and my search suggested this book....I'm no longer upset with Lilly!  If she hadn't torn a couple pages already, I never would have had the heart to cut out a few of my own, but I LOVE having them in the girls bathroom, I think they are so cute!

That is so cute. I like the blue bubbles. I can't wait until I get to use that bathroom as your guest. Just wish I knew when that would be and it was tomorrow.
