Lilly turned 6 this year. I can't believe how big my kids are getting. I'm sure I say that every year, but really, they just need to stop.
We kept with tradition and started Lilly's day with donuts in bed.
For someone who hates the morning, she really doesn't mind waking up for donuts on her birthday!!
That afternoon I took Lilly on a bike ride.
Lilly had gotten really good at riding on real bike.
For dinner I asked Lilly what she wanted to eat and she told me she wanted Chicken and Chips. So I made chicken nachos.
She was furious at me.
I still can't figure out why.
But she made is especially clear that I am the "worst cooker in the whole entire universe!!!!"
Grace pretending to be upset like Lilly
Everyone else loved it. And when I put Lilly to bed that night she told me that after she tried a bite she really did like it too,....ugh, that child!
After dinner we took the family swimming at Knoebles Pool.
Alisha, Megan, Sam
Pearl, Lilly, Grace
Grace started going off all the diving boards...even the high dive.

Brave Grace
After swimming we went home for some cake and presents.
Earlier in the week I had asked Lilly what she wanted for her birthday cake and she said, A blue cake with orange frosting for Boise State (her dad has trained her well) with pearls on top."
I asked if she meant the candy "sprinkle" pearls.
She just looked at me like I was an idiot and said, "No, Mom! I want REAL pearls on top.....or maybe just one HUGE one!"
Oh brother.
She had to make due with the candy sprinkle kind.
But I let her decorate her cake herself, and that seemed to appease her a bit.
Lilly got a fishing pole to use on our upcoming camping trip.
headbands
and two dresses
and her own set of golf clubs!
Happy Birthday Lilly Goose.
We love you!
