No one was excited to take Grandma Wendy to the airport...except probably Grandpa Harold who had to live without her for nearly two weeks!
The airport is a little over an hour away and we had decided to make the drive to Scranton early and have a little fun there in a park and eat a picnic before we dropped of Grandma Wendy and then drive back home, but it didn't exactly work out that way.
First of all it was raining like crazy so the park idea was out. We saw a Red Robin and decided to go there instead, but as we drove up to it we noticed a Chuck E Cheese really close and thought the girls would have more fun there instead.
And they sure did! We had lunch and they go to play for an hour, and then we headed out to the airport.
After shedding a few tears (a lot in Grace's case) and saying good-bye we left Grandma at the airport and I decided to brave taking all 3 girls Barnes and Noble because we had a gift card there and it's the closest one to us.
Just as I pulled up to the store I got a call from my mom saying her flight plans changed and she had few more hours till she had to leave. I was so excited so we went straight back to the airport to get her and take her to the book store with us.
I was so glad I did, because it would have been madness on my own! The girls were really well behaved, but we had 4 potty breaks and I had to feed Pearl and change her diaper. It would have been so hard to juggle that all on my own. But it just made me wish Grandma Wendy was with us for all the errands we have to run because everything always goes so much smoother with two moms to get things done!
We have had a three days since Grandma Wendy left now...and we have had few minor breakdowns, but I think we are going to survive!...maybe.
