Sam turned 29 this month.
He got lots of presents.
(yes, all wrapped in Christmas bags!)
Breakfast in bed
(nothing too fancy, he doesn't really like breakfast first thing in the morning anyways.)
And then he went on a treasure hunt (hot and cold) for his presents that Grace his around the house.
Notice our torn up carpet...we are getting a big section of it replaces because our cat, Pickles, had been peeing on it. She has never been happy at our house and has now gone to live with Sam's parents. We are all a lot happier with this arrangement!
still teasure hunting. Grace kind of forgot where she hid some of the presents, so Sam got to go all over the place.
Then Grace and Sam played video games together.
And we went out to lunch at Applebee's
After lunch we went to check out a bounce house in the mall. It was super crowded so we didn't stay long, but the girls had a good time.
Probably the highlight of the day for all of us was that evening when Sam was able to baptize Jeff Davis.
Jeff's wife Michelle has been a member since 2006 and recently started coming back to church. The missionaries started teaching Jeff and he was incredibly receptive from the very beginning. He really was a rock star investigator and we are so happy for him and his family. They now have a goal to be sealed in a year and we are so excited for them.
Since the baptism was on Sam's birthday we Michelle made Sam a cake, we forgot candles, but we still sang him happy birthday!
And I was able to snap a picture of Lilly getting a finger full of frosting!
Happy Birthday Sam!
