Lilly's Sandwich

Last Sunday I heard Lilly in the kitchen and when I peeked in to see what she was doing she was sitting at the kitchen table.  I didn't worry too much about her because our dinner dishes were still on there and I thought she just went back to finish her food.
A few minutes later I was at the other end of the house when Lilly comes running down the hall with a big grin on her face saying, "Look Mommy!!  I made a sandwich!"  I looked down, and she really did make a sandwich.  She had two slices of bread with strawberry jam in the middle.  We had jam on the table with our dinner.
I was so proud of her, but not too shocked.  Lilly has always been very independent and tries to do as much all by her self as she possibly can.  On the other hand Grace has always been more that willing to let me do as much for her as she can get  away with.  A lot of day I hear myself saying to her, "Grace, Lilly just did that all by herself...you can do it too."

Not two seconds after Lilly showed her sandwich to me Grace comes running down the hall yelling, "MMMMOOOOOOMMMM, can you put jam on this biscuit for me!!???!!!!??"

I rest my case.

Our girls are so alike. My number 1 would ask me to do it and number 2 would just do it without asking. Pluses and Minuses for both personalities right?
