Pictures from the hospital.

Minutes after Lilly was born
Grace coming to see her new sister.

It didn't go well at first. Grace has had this odd fear of babies for a while now. Sam's brother Tony introduced his newborn, Olivia to Grace and jokingly said, "Careful, she bites!" And that was all it took. Grace didn't want anything to do with babies after that. But not baby dolls, just the real kind. We thought she would like her own baby sister, but she wasn't sold at first.
In trying to get Grace to go close to Lilly I would ask her to point out the babies eyes, and nose, and ears, and when I said mouth Grace's eyes got big, she ran away from her and said, "NO! Baby bite!"
She was even scared to be on my bed for a little while.
But we finally got Grace to warm up to Lilly.

Grace would hold Lilly for a total of 30 seconds at a time. That hasn't really changed, but now she is happy to see Lilly and every once in a while we convince her to give Lilly a kiss, but she'll only give Lilly a kiss on the forhead. I guess it's safer up there! Far away from her mouth!

Proud Grandpa Harold

Uncle Kurt was up to his uncle tricks and showed Grace how to use the controls on my bed. She called the nurse at least 5 times!! woops!

My mom was able to be ther this time for Lilly's birth. She didn't make it in time for Grace's. It was a really cool experience for us.
