I used my french bread recipe, which you can find here . Follow the directions exactly along with the cooking temp and time. the only difference is you roll out the dough even more and put ham and cheese (or whatever you want) in the middle and braid the sides over the top. There is also a tutorial here for a little more of step by step directions.

37 weeks, and Ham and Cheese Loaf
I'm now 37 weeks pregnant, and still loving it, but I am ready for it to be over because I just want to hold my little girl so badly. At my Dr. appointment yesterday I was told that I am dilated to 2 cm., 70% effaced, and he can feel the babies head. I hope that means with the added pressure I will dilate even more before I go into labor. Because Sam and I are moving in a few weeks I have an induction date for the 18th. It's only one week before my due date, but the Dr. would rather have the baby one week older before we move, and I'm not complaining, although I am nervous to be induced. I want to have another natural delivery like I did with Grace and I know I can do it on my own. It's the unknown of being induced that makes me nervous. But I know one way or another I will get through it, and in the end it will all be worth it because I will have another precious little girl to hold and love.
With all the excitement of knowing I can go into labor at any time (I really do feel like I walking time bomb) I feel the need to "nest" and yesterday I took it out in my kitchen making Sam's most favorite thing ever. A Ham and Cheese Loaf. Actually I made two. I don't really know why I did that, we have a ton left over, but Sam's thrilled about that.
I wasn't too proud of my braiding job, but Sam watched me in amazement saying it was the coolest thing he's ever seen. I'm glad he doesn't have anyone else to compare me to, it makes impressing him a lot easier!
Now that does look beautiful!

You are such a good little homemaker!!! Sam and your little girls are LUCKY! Good Luck on the induction. I was induced as well with Seth, there isn't anything to worry about, you'll do great!! Your bread looks amazing and delish, I wish you could cook for me:)
Oh ya, Grace was born on the 18th AND that is our anniversary, so the 18th is a lucky day!
You look awesome!! Good luck with everything! And that ham and cheese bread looks AMAZING!! I'm definitely going to have to try it.
And the count down begins for you. I hope it all goes well either way induction or no induction.
So I have to ask how exactly do you make the ham and cheese loaf? I know how to make the bread but what and how do you do the rest and to make it look so pretty. I want to try it!
Alisha, I have been thinking about you and I wanted to say sorry for never calling you back after you left that message on my phone. I think I just became completely preoccupied with the things that were going on with Syd and I wasn't really in my right mind to even send you a text. I hope you are doing well and that those little girls of yours are doing great! You have always been such a supportive friend. Thank you for everything. Love, Natalie
