Chicago

Sam had his ACHE conference in Chicago, so I tagged along and had a blast in the city!  Sam's niece, Kirsten, just got home from her mission, so we had her come stay with the girls.

My first day in Chicago I went shopping with Brielle Evans. We decided to walk through Macy's on our way back to our hotel and out of the corner of my eye I saw Clinton Kelly from What Not to Wear.  I used to watch that show all the time and I even wrote a report on the whole WNTW team when I was in beauty school.

I was so star struck I couldn't speak, so Brielle asked him if I could get a picture taken with him and he was so nice and said of course!

So that was basically the highlight of my trip, and it happened in the first few hours!

but really the trip just got better and better.

 We ate delicious food.

Brunch at the Bongo Room

 Went to the top of the Willis, and Hancock towers.

 We went to the aquarium and Sam found a new hat!

My cousin Corey, and his wife Kinley came into the city to have dinner with us.

 Look closely and you will see some faces peeking at you!

 We spent most of our time with Gordy and Brielle.  Gordy works with Sam, and was at the conference as well, so Brielle and I got to play together!

 We went to the Field museum, and the planetarium. 

My favorite place was the art museum.  I took some really bad pictures of some of my favorite pieces. 

 (contemporary art makes me feel like I could be an artist too!)

I have been waiting 2 years to see this in person!  It was huge, and amazing!

We really had a great time in Chicago, I love that city!
