Christmas 2013

As always Christmas starts out on Christmas Eve.  Last year we started the tradition on Chinese food and a movie, and we decided to keep that tradition alive!

Couldn't be any easier for me!

Then we let the girls open their Christmas Jammies

 Aren't they adorable!

And this year I started a new tradition.  I decided to get the girls a custom ornament.  I will get them one every year and they can open it on Christmas Eve and put them on the tree. Then when they leave home they can take their set of ornaments with them....maybe!
 Grace got a Kindergarten one.
 Lilly got a Ballerina
And Pearl got a Baby's First Christmas.

After the girls were in bed I got the stockings out and went to bed as well so Santa could come!

And he DID!

A few weeks before Christmas Sam asked Lilly what she wanted for Christmas and she responded, "A puppy, a kitty cat, and treats."  And that is what she stuck to every time anyone else would ask her.  So we had to get it for her.  They were stuffed, and she was jumping up and down with excitement!!  (phhew!)

I hope I never forget the pure joy I heard when Grace and Lilly ran into the room to see their presents!

 Chapstick and a necklace!

 She loves the camera!

She also loves bows, and wrapping paper, and tape....it was a good day for her!

I had a rolling pin in my stocking!
Sam also got me a Ninja Blender and I wheat grinder.  I told him a few days before Christmas that I would really like a Ninja some day because I make smoothies pretty often and he acted like he had never heard of it before.  All the while it was in the trunk of his car!

Grace is holding a Leapfrog Kindergarten activity set. She also got a princess cash register from Santa which is exactly what she wanted.  Santa is just so smart!

Pearl got a few toys, but liked the bow and wrapping paper the most!

Grace and Lilly both got lipstick in their stockings.....

A few months ago I met a local artist and commissioned a painting for Sam for Christmas.  Bryce, the artist, had a painting just like this one on display in a local restaurant and I thought it was so cool, but wanted it more customized to Sam.  So I had him do a Leopard Rainbow (Alaska) a Cutthroat (Idaho) and a Brook Trout (Pennsylvania).  I couldn't be happier with the results and Sam couldn't either!  He loves it!
After we hang it I will take a better photo of it.

After all the presents were open we all calmed down a bit
actually only dad did!

Lilly ate M&M's with a spoon.

And when those kicked in she got to work on the trampoline her and Grace got this year!

Grace and Sam played video games.

I set up Lilly's baby doll furniture set.

 She loves it!

Pearl almost died (not really) several times today chocking on tape, and packing peanuts...and whatever else she could shove in her mouth when I wasn't watching!

 I love him.

And her too!
I think this trampoline is going to be a big hit for years to come.

We really had a great Christmas and loved being low key and relaxed all day long!
