Man, Alive! Grace is 5!

Since Lilly had her birthday 3 days before Grace's, Grace was nearly bursting at the seams waiting for her big day to arrive.
We stayed home during the day and in the morning we watched our friends little girl. I let Grace watch whatever shows she wanted too, she loves her shows! And I made Grace her favorite lunch, a tuna fish sandwich.  But mostly we just hung out together and sang Grace the Happy Birthday Song every chance we got....which was A LOT!
When Sam got home Grace got to open presents.

She got beaded socks from Grandma Wendy.  Lilly was so excited to see that they were different from hers, and she quickly snatched a pair and put them on!

And Grace got a barbie with a horse from Sam and I.  When she opened it she got so excited and exclaimed, "Wow! This is what I have always wanted!"
It's nice to get it right every now and again!

Grace also got an inflatable pool and two swimming suits. --Lilly also claimed one of those, and Grace was nice enough to let her wear it.

Before the girls could go swimming we went out to dinner at Red Robin!

The girls loved being in a booth...
 a little too much.
so Sam had to put on his mad face and make them get down.

While the waiter was taking my order I told him it was Grace's birthday and slipped him a candle I brought from home. Grace had seen it earlier that day, and after they were done singing to her...which totally freaked her out...she asked me, "How did they get this candle?" I told her they waiter was magic, to which she replied, "Then why did he put sprinkles on my ice cream?  Because I hate sprinkles and if he is magic then he should have known that!"
**busted.**

 blowing out her candle.
 and then quickly hiding again!

digging in!...after I ate all the sprinkles off for her.

When we got home Sam blew up the pool and Grace and Lilly had a blast.

I love how well these two (usually) play together.  And I can't believe they are 3 and 5.  I keep asking them to stop growing, but they just laugh at me....
Sam and I are so blessed to have such wonderful, sweet & sassy girls.  I wouldn't change a thing about them. We love them so much!

Happy 5th Birthday Grace.  You are a joy to have and be around.  I am NOT ready for you to be in all day kindergarten, but I know that your teacher is just going to adore you.  Your are our little princess!
