Grace and Lilly are obsessed with fireflies. They want to catch them every night. We don't always let them because the fireflies don't come out till after 9 and since Lilly doesn't take a nap very often any more she is ready for bed by 7:30. But last night I caved. The girls were all ready for bed but I let them go out and catch a few fireflies before they went to bed.
Lilly is still a little scared to touch the fireflies so she uses a cup. She scoops them out of the air and then hold it to her chest so they can't get out.
The only problem is that sometimes she forgets and they fly out.
If you look really close you can see it is in her hair. Right on the front ends. Sam had to be very happy when he took this picture and distract Lilly. If she knew the firefly was in her hair she would have freaked out!
But Grace doesn't. She absolutely loved them...sometimes a little too much! We have seen our share of squished fireflies around here!
