Grace had her Preschool Christmas Program a couple weeks ago. She has been learning the songs for a month and sang them at home all the time. She even taught all of them to Lilly and they would put on little performances for Sam and I. I thought maybe we had a shot of actually getting her to perform at the program.
The day of the program I kept trying to talk it up and get Grace really excited, but she wasn't buying it. The whole day she told me she was not going to go.
Once we got there I could tell she was getting very nervous. I went and found her teacher and explained to her that Grace wasn't thrilled with the whole idea, and her teacher took over from there.
Grace stood right in front of Ms. Laura, and started to sing the first song with the rest of her class, and then looked out at the audience and got terrified. She didn't sing another word. She would do some actions every now and then, but mostly she stood there and cried. It broke my heart to watch her, but I was really proud of her for staying up there the whole time.
When Grace is nervous or scared she puts her hands up to her mouth. So she stood like this for most of the program!
Poor, sweet Grace. I wish the rest of the world could see what a little performer we have at home, but it might end up being her hidden talent!

Sweet Grace! Too bad she couldn't just stand up there and share her super cute loud laugh with the audience! I miss hearing her chuckle!
This Post totally surpirsed me, since I only know grace through your blog, she seems like a performer, I am so sorry she had such a hard time with the performance, maybe with time it will get better.
