Kitchen and Informal Dining Room

I've finally gotten around to putting up the final touches in our kitchen and informal dining room. So I thought I would share another post of my house.  Enjoy!

I love this corner cabinet with the bubbly glass window.

The kitchen cabinets are original from when the house was first built.  I love the color and there was hardly any wear and tear on them.  All we did was replace the hardware and they were instantly updated from 1983 to 2012!

I love our back-splash   Sam and I wanted to do all glass tiles, but it was just too expensive to justify, so I decided to just do a strip of it in the middle and sandwich it with these grey and white subway tiles.  I love how it turned out and think it's better than our original idea, especially thinking about resale value...not everyone loves glass tile as much as we do, so this is much safer.

We call this the "mail table" it's a place for us to set down the mail, and also a place to put his keys and wallet when he walks int he door so he doesn't loose them.  This table belonged to Sam's grandparents and it was in their house while we lived there.  I fell in love with it and Sam's Aunt Ellie said we could take it to PA with us!  She is so sweet!

And last but not least our Celebrate plate.  We haven't actually used it yet, but we will to celebrate birthdays or if anyone has a special accomplishment.
