Je're Clinton Hunter

For the last 6 months or so Sam has been working with the missionaries in our ward to teach Je're and her family the discussions. Je're is a very sweet woman who loves her family more than anything. She has two daughters Alexis (8) and Alicia (1) and her boyfriend had a daughter also Ashanti (6). From the very beginning Je're and her daughter Alexis wanted to get baptized, but she couldn't until her and Anthony got married. It took months, but Anthony finally warmed up to the idea, and on July 30th Anthony and Je're were married, and right after Je're and Alexis were baptized.

Alexis asked Sam to baptize and confirm her. It was a really special experience for him.

Our two families
We often get together for bbq's and our girls love playing together.

Scott Jones, Anthony, Je're, Alexis, and Sam
-Scott is one of Sam's classmates and also helped teach Je're and Alexis. He baptized Je're.

The next day at church Sam and Scott confirmed Je're and Alexis. It was a blessing Sam and I will never forget because that Sunday Elder D. Todd Christofferson of the quorum of the twelve apostles was presiding and he stood right next to Sam while he confirmed Alexis. The funny thing was that Sam didn't even realize that an apostle had his hand on Sam's shoulder until he sat down afterwards. He had to ask me if it had worked out that way. He was so focused on the confirmation that it didn't even register!

This whole experience really has been amazing. I feel so grateful to Sam for being so willing so serve and in the process involve our family. This is something I would never have volunteered for on my own, but I'm so glad we did. It really made me understand how important fellowshipping is.

It's truly amazing how many blessings come into our lives because of worthy priesthood holders. And that sounds like an amazing thing for Sam!
