Grace's Toddler Bed

We put Grace through a lot of changes this last month. We gave her a sibling, moved her to a new state, took her away from her grandparents (aka constant attention givers), and we put her in a toddler bed. I was really worried with how she would cope with all the changes, but probably most worried about changing her bed because if she couldn't sleep well it would make all the other changes that much harder to deal with. But much to our surprise she loves her bed. The day we got here Sam had already set it up and made her bed. She ran to it saying, "Acie's Bed, Acie's Bed!" (she calls herself Acie, who needs the GR anyways.) Then she jumped on it for probably 5 min.

The first night was a bit of a struggle to get her to go to sleep, she seemed a little scared of her new room, but I finally calmed her down by reading a story and ever since then it hasn't been a problem. She even waits in her bed in the morning for me to get her out. She just sits on her bed and yells for me. When I open her door she says, "Ank you!" (that's gracie language for Thank you) and jumps off, runs past me and starts going downstairs looking for daddy.

This morning she was sleeping in, so I decided finally to go wake her up. When I went in there I couldn't tell where she was because this is what I saw...but imagine it a lot darker. I turned on the light so you could see.

I moved her teddy bear and found herShe loves to sleep in this position...isn't it funny. I call her our little stink bug.

This is Grace's new favorite pajama's. She calls it her football shirt. And her new favorite thing is watching football with daddy...because he is her favorite person ever. She cuddles with him on the couch and will watch it with him forever. (you know a good 15 min...which is forever for a 2 year old!)

and this is probably why Sam is her favorite...Because he does fun things like this with her. Grace let Lilly join in the fun for about 20 seconds. Just long enough for me to get a picture, that's all I needed!
