Sewing Project #3

I made a dress for Grace this week. My mom helped me with the bodice, which was definitely the hardest part, but after that I did the rest of it all on my own. I'm so proud. Even though I can get pretty frustrated unpicking, it pays off in the end to have everything look the way I want it to. First I had to add these pictures of Grace wearing Daddy's hat. She loves it, and I think he loves that it's his Minnesota hat.

My Grandma came to Boise yesterday and I cut her hair, then we went to the temple and ran some errands around town. It was so wonderful to spend the day with her. I haven't been able to spend that much one on one time with her since I was in elementary school and I would spend a week with her in the summer.

Here's a better picture of the dress.

I had to add this last picture because it's so funny. This is Grace's new favorite place to play. The beverage fridge on our bar. Notice it's empty, because we just don't have that much alcohol to store in there! So Grace has claimed it as her own little cave. I'm just glad she's too big to close the door on herself. I can always find a few of her toys in there, or her baby doll, It makes me a little nervous about what she'll do with her little sister!

Way to go you guys! What a cute dress! Soak up the knowledge Alisha because I don't remember how to follow a pattern. We can have something to do in our Minnesota winters!
