Congrats Sam!

I feel like I need to take just a moment and brag about my wonderful husband!

When we first met I was very attracted to how much drive he had to make his way in the world, among many other things of course! At the time he was going down a very different career path, Geology, it's a passion of his. But he knew to make a career our of it, and to be home with his family he would have to get a Doctorate and be a college professor. I thought I was amazing how much time he was willing to put in with school to get the career he wanted. Then he thought about being a pediatrician. again, a ton of schooling.

Well a few semesters went by and he discovered that he really enjoyed his business law class and his economics class. That when things started to change. He did a TON of research and finally came to the conclusion that Healthcare Administration was the place for him. He changed his major to Economics, and started to chat with some CEO's and Administrators from different hospitals in the area to get his foot in the door for an internship. Then BYU-I added a Healthcare Administration degree, and Sam just couldn't resist. He had to have one of them too. "This will look so good on a resume!" ...famous last words, I thought. But he was determined and convinced me right along with him.

Now we have closed the BYU-I chapter in our lives, and Sam applied to MHA (masters in healthcare admin.) programs. Well, only two actually. Minnesota-the #1 program in the nation. and Ohio State-ranked in the top 10. I was personally a little worried that he wasn't throwing out a wide enough net, but he knew those were the only two schools he really wanted to go to.

This last week we have heard back from both schools, and Sam has been invited to both prestigious programs! I couldn't be more proud of him. He really does surprise me over and over again with how much drive he has to succeed and how much determination he has to never stop growing.

So good job babe! I'm so proud of you, and I really do appreciate all the hard work you do for our family, and for our future. Thank you! I love you!

Yay! We are so excited that we both got into Minnesota! I cried! Yeah, I am a baby! Whatever! I had no doubt that they would accept Sam but we were afraid that they wouldn't want 2 from the same school! So wish us luck with Ohio this week, but I think it may take some serious enticements to sway our current decision! Anyway, we love you guys and miss you! I will have to call you and we can chat after Friday! I hope we like Columbus too, but whatever... at least we both have the best school on the list right now huh? Did you really think it would happen? I think I was mostly hoping! I sound like I have no faith in Cory... I do, but I just didn't know what the schools would want! And thankfully, it is pretty much Cory and Sam!!!
