Grace's Birthday Party

We had a birthday party for Grace on Thursday, the day before her birthday. We had all of our friends come over to celebrate. I made pizza, and cake. Grace loved it, except for all the men at the party. For some reason she is going through this phase where she is terrified of guys. Hopefully she'll grow out of it. But anyways, we all had a good time. And Grace loved her cake. I made this white cake from scratch...including the butter cream frosting. I was so good. For the cake recipe click here.
I found the butter cream frosting somewhere else, but I can't find it, so I'll just tell you. at the end of the post.
I have to give a special thanks to Natalie Moon, she came over and helped me decorate the cakes, I couldn't have done everything without her.

Grace's Cake

We got some video of Grace eating the end of her cake, as you can see she devoured it! I was so funny to watch her. We also took a bunch of pictures earlier then this, but I can't find the sd card with the pictures on it. The pictures of the cakes are from my phone, so sorry they aren't very good, I'm so sad, I hope it shows up somewhere, but until then, this will have to do.

3/4 c. shortening
3/4 c. butter
4 1/2 c. powdered sugar
1 tsp. milk -more in you need it thinner

Happy Birthday, Grace! How fast this year has gone by! I think you're in Boise now, so we'll have to see you before we all head our different ways!
